2017 saw continued delivery of bespoke political and security risk and translation services. Client risk was reduced in markets across Asia, EMEA and Latin America. The year also saw investment into the company’s data visualisation capacity to help present straightforward insights drawn from big data.
Enhanced data visualisation
The company’s first free interactive dashboard was made available in 2017. It allows users to interact with two and a half years of São Paulo crime statistics by clicking on elements, filtering results by police stations, regions or zones. Feel free to interact with the data below.
Meticulous translation
The company continued to provide translation services services to our oldest client, one of the world’s largest publishing firms. This included translating Bahraini Official Gazettes and materials from across the MENA region. The company applies deep contextual knowledge to communicate linguistic nuances.
New capacity to reduce risk
In 2017, C Small Solutions invested in network science technology to carry out research into online and offline networks. Network science algorithms allow in-house researchers to pinpoint the most significant people or organisations in a network. This capacity has so far been deployed to carry out research into networks across EMEA for a media company.
Managed disruption
2017 was another great year of reducing client risk exposure in emerging and frontier markets. The company continued to use deep learning algorithms trained by subject matter experts to analyse data for clients. Experienced consultants helped advise on the best courses of action to achieve client objectives.
